This is an intensive, yet varied, training method is not just an excellent form of exercise, but one that also prepares the horse for later dressage lessons with you in the saddle.
The basis of Liberty Dressage training is to create a clear and fair relationship between the person and the horse, with the person nevertheless maintaining the dominant position. Consequence and body control are of the upmost importance, as the horses responds to the smallest of signals and changes of posture in the person.

Work starts by using the cavesson, lead and whip – the latter of which is used purely as an aid, acting as an extended arm. During the training, you will stroke your horse with the whip so that they are never afraid.
Other methods of communication involve the voice, hand signals and body language.
Once you have mastered the basics such as guiding and galloping around the human, you can proceed to the higher classes. You’ll be surprised how much you can achieve in a short space of time with our finely trained horses.
